THE WORD THAT SAT ME DOWN IN CHURCH
Have you ever sat in church and felt like the message was sent straight to you?
That was me last Sunday.
The pastor read 1 Corinthians 2:9–12 and something in my spirit woke up.
It wasn’t loud.
It wasn’t emotional.
It was a quiet conviction… almost like the Holy Spirit whispering, “Daughter, listen.”
Before God ever created Adam, He created a place for him: Eden.
And in that moment, it clicked: God has already prepared places, opportunities, blessings, and assignments for me, too.
But we have to be awake enough, to have spiritual growth as a Christian woman, to discover them.
Not once a year.
Not once a month.
Daily.
THE REAL ISSUE ISN’T SIN … IT’S BEING NATURAL
Here’s the line that hit me hardest:
“Your issue isn’t being sinful… it’s being natural.”
Whew.
Most of us aren’t out here intentionally living wild; but we are living naturally.
We’re blending in.
Reacting like the world.
Thinking like the world.
Responding like the world.
But Scripture says the things of God are revealed only in the Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:12).
That means if I’m living naturally, I’m going to miss what God is trying to show me.
And I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of missing moves God already prepared for me.
GOOD IS NOT THE SAME AS FAITHFUL
This part? It stopped me.
“Good is not faithful.”
Being good is easy.
Being good is comfortable.
Being good makes us feel we’re doing “enough.”
But being faithful?
That’s obedience.
That’s surrender.
That’s stepping into what God planned — not just what feels safe or familiar.
Faithful positions you for what God has already prepared.
Good only keeps you where you’ve always been.
This is why Revelation 3:15–20 warns us not to be lukewarm.
Lukewarm Christians are good… but not faithful.
We Should all be striving to have Spiritual growth as a Christian woman.
A SEASON OF TESTS AND TESTIMONIES
The pastor said we’re entering a season that’s a mixture of test and testimony.
And I felt that deeply because comfort cannot produce spiritual growth.
There are things God wants to birth in you that require you to stretch, shift, and get uncomfortable.
You can’t pray for transformation and also fight the process.
And how we respond during the test determines the strength of our testimony.
WHO GOD IS TO YOU IN THIS SEASON (ISAIAH 9:6)
This scripture reminded me exactly who God is walking into this next season:
✨ Wonderful Counselor — He gives guidance.
When you don’t know what to do next, He does.
✨ Mighty God — He gives power.
When you feel weak, He strengthens you.
✨ Everlasting Father — He gives care.
You are not forgotten or overlooked.
✨ Prince of Peace — He gives rest.
Chaos doesn’t get the final say. Peace does.
These four names show you exactly what you have access to when you choose to live spiritually, not naturally.
DECIDE TO BE SPIRITUAL

The pastor emphasized verse 12 with urgency:
“Decide to be spiritual.”
Not think about it.
Not try your best.
Not wait until the new year or a better season.
Decide.
Because Jesus has a plan for your life — and so does the enemy.
One leads to purpose.
The other leads to distraction.
And prayer is your protection:
“Pray, or you will enter into temptation.”
We can’t keep sowing into the very things we’re asking God to deliver us from.
GOD IS KNOCKING — NOT KNOCKING DOWN
Revelation 3:20 says Jesus stands at the door and knocks.
He doesn’t kick the door down.
He doesn’t force Himself in.
He waits for you to open.
Hunger for God opens the door.
Consistency keeps it open.
Faithfulness brings revelation.
If you’ve been feeling tugged spiritually… that’s Him.
If you’ve been feeling unsettled spiritually… that’s Him.
If you’ve been craving deeper connection… that’s Him.
He’s knocking.
FINAL ENCOURAGEMENT
Sis… this next season requires more from you spiritually — but it’s because God wants to reveal more to you.
Get hungry.
Get watchful.
Get intentional.
Get faithful.
Because what He has prepared for you can’t be discovered living naturally.
It requires the Spirit.
You are seen. You are loved. You are His.
Keep choosing Him—one day, one prayer, one step at a time.
